Teams don’t need more pressure. They need a calmer system.
I’ve spent 20 years building backend systems and 7 leading the teams behind them — and over a decade training as a psychotherapist. I help software organizations ship predictably by fixing the system and the dynamics, not by pushing people harder.
Services
(01)Team Productivity Audit
A focused diagnostic of cycle time, handoffs, and where your team’s hours actually go. You get a clear read on the real bottleneck — and a short plan to remove it.
Engineering Leadership Coaching
1:1 work with team leads and engineering managers. Decision-making, delegation, feedback, difficult conversations — and the shift from writing code to multiplying others.
Workflow & Process Design
Simplify planning, review, and release loops into rituals the team actually follows. Fewer meetings, more signal, predictable delivery.
Team Dynamics & Conflict
A decade of psychotherapy practice applied to the workplace: untangling tensions between people and roles that quietly drain a team’s output.
Diagnose. Simplify. Coach.
(02)Diagnose
Talk to the team, watch the work, read the numbers. No prescriptions before the real bottleneck is named — and it’s rarely the one you expect.
Simplify
Cut the complexity quietly costing your team days every week. Keep only what earns its place.
Coach
Work alongside your leads until the change holds on its own — then hand it back.
Build an organization that can think and adapt at scale.
A practical implementation guide to distributed decisions, connected knowledge, adaptive leadership and disciplined experimentation.
Background
(03)Alongside engineering: a decade of training in analytical psychotherapy (C. G. Jung), clinical hypnotherapy, and clinical psychology — including a private practice from 2011 to 2021 and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. It is the combination that makes the work effective: I understand both the system and the people inside it.
I’ve sat in the chair your leads are sitting in.
I started programming as a kid and turned it into a 20-year career in backend development — most recently as Technical Lead at Xapo Bank, and before that at Acronis. I’ve been the engineer drowning in review queues, the team lead carrying the roadmap in his head, and the person explaining slips to management.
In parallel, I spent over a decade studying human behavior — analytical psychology, clinical hypnotherapy, and psychotherapy practice. That second education changed how I lead: the best teams weren’t the busiest ones. They were the ones that knew what to stop doing, and could talk honestly about what wasn’t working.
That is the thread through all my work: fewer rituals, clearer ownership, honest conversations — and a pace the team can hold for years, not sprints.
